“Bon Voyage”

Author: Chezmin Barnett

Throughout my journey I find myself praying for strength to overcome my trials. It recently dawned on me that my strength comes FROM my trials, meaning that without any trials, there is no strength. So I realized that in addition to praying for strength, it only made sense to also pray for the wisdom to be able to realize when it is time to use my strength that I have gained from past trials, and apply said strength to carry myself through present trials, and those to come. I say “those to come” because I am aware that as long as I walk this Earth, they most assuredly WILL come. I heard it said that “a smooth sea never made a skilled sailor”. So when life comes to knock the wind from your sails, adjust them and remember that you are the captain of your voyage. Ride the wave. Adapt and overcome.
